Opinion

This question is mostly opinion since I don’t know that we really know the “right answer” but it’s a good one………

As far as weight loss goes……Which is worse……eating 1500-1800 calories of CRAP food (just whatever you feel like…not very nutritious etc.) OR eating 2200-2500 calories of CLEAN and nutritious foods(lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, etc.)?

Just curious what you all think is worse. I don’t know the answer….i know that the healthy clean foods are technically better for you, that part is obvious. BUT in a weight loss stand point, it gets technical.

If your bored, there’s something to think about 🙂

It really depends on the type of foods you are eating specifically, but generally speaking definitely the clean food. You can eat so much more and still lose weight or maintain by eating healthy. It has a lot to do with the glycemic index of foods as well as the thermal effect of food. A calorie is not just a calorie.

I would have to go with more calories and good food… for this one reason…

1500 calories of fat & sugar will make me want to eat 1500 more calories of fat & sugar.

2500 calories of salad will make me feel more full then I can stand!

    😀

I say, if those were my two choices, it would be the higher calories because I would be giving my body food it could actually use.

Both would depend on how much activity you are getting but definitely the higher cals of clean food combined with activity. No doubt. 😉
    KO

Hands down the best option is clean food/more calories.

Calories are just calories. It’s the macros that really matter.

    Thanks for the Thinker. 😉

I want a combo! haha No really – I think it would definitely be high calories/cleaner food – but I do a combo of clean/processed food and don’t think I work hard enough/work out enough to eat that many calories and get away with it. Don’t know if that makes sense… 🙂 good question!

This is a hard one. Everyone says it boils down to cals in vs. cals out, BUT eating clean nutritious foods is better for you. Makes you feel better. My husband swears that you can eat 2500 cals of clean foods and lose weight if you do it right. LOL. Im too chicken to experimant.
