Weekend in Park City + Rockstar Fitness™ Workout!

Good morning!

I promise I’ll be back to a regular blogging schedule soon…just trying to figure this whole “life balance” thing out. Know what I mean? 🙂

This past weekend, I flew up to Park City to hang with my bestie! We’ve literally been best friends since we were in 2nd grade (I hated her before that haha), and since I’ve lived in LA, we haven’t really gotten to spend too much quality time together. Since she just moved up there, I figured it was the perfect time to fix that!

I had never been to Park City (or Utah in general), so I was super excited about this trip!

The people in Park City and SLC are SO nice. It was such a nice change of pace from LA. The views were GORGEOUS, and it even snowed a little bit on Sunday!

We ate good food, laughed, did some yoga at her store (lululemon), and just had a blast getting to know the city. I can’t wait to go back!

CALLING ALL BANDS, MUSICIANS, ARTISTS, AND FANS TOO!

What is the Rockstar Fitness™ Tour Edition eBook?

As a sound engineer, working in and out of recording studios all over Los Angeles, I (Fit Lizzio) work with a LOT of traveling bands and musicians. I have worked with a wide range of them stretching from Weezer to Demi Lovato. As a personal trainer, former bikini competitor, fitness enthusiast, AND certified metal-head, I’m constantly asked questions in the studio about how to stay fit. They usually tell me that they get into a great routine….until it’s time to hit the road for tour….

when it all comes falling apart.

I wanted to create an easy-to-use solution to this problem, and that’s where

Rockstar Fitness™ Tour Edition was born.

My passion and background in fitness and music, along with my collaboration with celebrity trainer,

Torri Shack (Lionel Richie, Miguel, Mel B.), have made this eBook one of the best fitness eBooks around.

We got tired or seeing so many bands struggle to maintain a fitness routine while on tour…

and got even more tired of the excuses!

With nothing else of it’s kind out there, we knew this was not only wanted but NEEDED in the

marketplace, as being on the road is NO reason that you can’t maintain a consistent level of fitness.

Fans alike can participate, as these workouts can be done ANYWHERE and with NO EQUIPMENT NECESSARY!

In this eBook, you will find 25 workouts that can be done

-with NO equipment

-in a 6×6 foot area

-in 20-30 minutes

Any musician will tell you that the better shape they’re in, the better they’re able to perform on stage. The problem is finding the time to workout, and more importantly, knowing WHAT to do.

I promise you’ll be sweating your ass off, seeing your 6 pack start to come in, start improving your fitness level, have better stage presence, and that you’ll leave your tour feeling better than when you started!

Pre-Order Rockstar Fitness™ Tour Edition today and save $$$!

You’ll receive your copy of the eBook in mid-May 2015 when it releases!

This is a 100% money back guarantee. If you’re unsatisfied with the eBook, I’ll give you your money back.

Vacation Recap + EBook Update!

Hey people!

It’s been a solid week since I last blogged. I have been out of town and took a much-needed break from everything!

It’s been a great trip here in Kansas, and we’ll be heading back to LA in the morning. Although it hasn’t been TOO cold, I’m definitely ready to get back to the Southern California temperatures!

We got into Kansas late at night on the 23rd, and I was quickly hit with a nasty cold.  Although I pushed through it, I ended up feeling really crappy on Christmas day.

2014-12-25 15.00.54Oscar helped make me feel better, though.

By Friday, I was definitely feeling better. Not perfect, but well enough to be up and around. We spent the day around the house and visiting with Charlie’s family. The most entertaining part of this week has definitely been the dogs. Oscar got to play with an English Bulldog and a Yorkie all week. They ran around in a pack and played the WHOLE time. Oscar is not going to know what to do with himself when we leave….

Toto & Oscar. Toto has been following Oscar around since we got here. Non. Stop. 2014-12-24 14.40.32While in Kansas, we also hit the yearly Chief’s game! It was the last game of the season and they won, so it was a really good time!

Chiefs game!

I’ll let you know more details about the release this week! I can’t WAIT to put this out!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, wherever you are. It’s another weird week with New Years, but hopefully we’re all geared up for a great 2015!

Question of the Day

1. Where did you travel for the holidays? If nowhere, what did you do?

My Weekend + Monday Thoughts {not sugar-coated}

Hey guys!

Anyone else feel like the weekend just slipped right past them? I remember it being Friday and then all the sudden I was waking up to an alarm on Monday.

Friday night Charlie and I took a boxing class at Iron Boxing. Once again, it was a TOUGH class and I was sweating actual 12 mm bullets by the end. (Ok, so maybe I’m over exaggerating. They were more like 9mm. Also, I know nothing about guns, so 12mm might not even make any sense and that’s a-ok with me! :-))

armsMy arms are also looking extra awesome lately. I think boxing is a HUGE part of that. Anytime I’ve done boxing for an extended period of time, my arms start to shape up pretty well. They’re still a work-in-progress, but I’m happy with the changes I’m seeing!

After boxing, we decided to go get massages (genius idea, by the way) and relax for the rest of the night. The massage hurt so good. He definitely got some of my knots out, but I still feel like there are about 4,000 more. Guess I should get another one. 🙂 We spent the rest of the night watching reruns of The Office. Michael Scott for President.

michaelscottSunday, we headed over to a bar to watch the Chief’s win! Go Chiefs! After the game, we did a back/biceps workout at the gym and I filmed some workout videos for Charlie’s mom.

plankI spent the rest of the day working on my new e-book that’s coming out in a few weeks! It’s completely FREE to download. It is the first of several “Missions” I’ll be releasing. This first is Mission #1: 10 Day Sexy Slimdown. A 10 day plan designed specifically to jump start your body into losing fat & inches + working out! It includes 10 days of workouts, a full 10 day meal plan, a complete shopping list, and a full exercise demonstration guide. I’m so excited to release this to you all!

sexyslimdownRandom Thoughts for your Monday            {not sugar-coated}

I say not sugar-coated because I haven’t had any added sugar in 6 days! Today is Day 7 and I wanted to give you my thoughts so far. It’s only been a week, but the changes are fo’ real.

1. I don’t feel so bloated and full. I think Splenda & Aspartame were the real culprit here. As I mentioned, I used to have 2 Splendas in my coffee (and about 2 coffees per day) + 1-2 diet soda cans with dinner. Since giving that up, I don’t feel like I get so full and my stomach feels better overall.

2. My head seems clearer. Again, I think the fake sugars were the problem. I feel much more level-headed.

3. I don’t feel the extremes of fullness and hunger as much. This sort of ties in with #1, but I feel like in addition to not feeling super full, I never feel super hungry either. Sure, if I don’t eat all day like I accidentally did last Thursday, I get HANGRY, but I don’t feel like I get so “starving” in between meals like I used to.

4. I’m drinking way more water. I drink it all day long and all evening long. The only other beverage I’ve been drinking is coffee (sans-fake sugar) and Kombucha (it has pure lemon & raspberry juice, but no added sugar).

5. I feel determined. This could just be because I’m in a good place with my workouts and nutrition, and therefore feel more determined, but I do think that giving up some of the toxins in my life has helped me to be more motivated.

So that’s how I’m feeling so far! Things are getting easier as the days go on. Saturday was tough because I did really want something with sugar in it (besides fruit), but I persevered and it went away. (Imagine that.)

I will keep updating you guys on the No Added Sugar Challenge that Charlie and I are doing. I’m so excited to see what 30 days of this does, seeing as just 6 has already been eye-opening. I’ll have Charlie check in with a post this week as well so you guys can see what changes he is noticing.

Take care guys!

Questions of the Day

1. Have you ever given up added sugar?

2. Do you use fake sugars on the regular? If so, how often?

In Other News

My nephew started walking yesterday. All by himself!!! Do you know what that does to one’s heart strings?! If you have a nephew, then I’m sure you do. Especially one as cute as this…

Matty!

Matty!

In workout news, this week I’ve managed to do:

Monday: Killer leg workout! and some bouldering

I’m so sore from it still! I’ll definitely have to share this one with you guys…

Tuesday: Boxing and some bouldering

Wednesday: Chest/Back workout with my man.

Thursday: Hoping to get anything in. Might even do cardio. Busy day!

Friday: Nope, nada, negative

Saturday: Crossfit?

Sunday: Depends how Saturday goes….

We All Go Through It

My workouts this week were nothing crazy, but that’s just how it is sometimes. I can definitely tell you, I had to WORK myself into the gym most days this week. It truly does not come easy to me all the time. I almost skipped climbing on Monday and almost skipped boxing on Tuesday. But I just went. Grumbling the whole way. And guess what? I survived, it turned out to be awesome, and I’m happy I went. Wasn’t easy though!

I say this to tell you guys, WE ALL GO THROUGH IT. People act like I’m just always ON my game and I don’t go through the feelings of just wanting to be lazy and not work out. I’m not bionic guys. Trust me…I almost walked out of boxing a few times Tuesday night. Seriously. But I knew I’d feel MUCH worse if I walked out than if I just stayed and toughed out the class. I was right. I ended up getting great workouts even though I was dreading almost all of them.

Like I, (and everyone else), always say…..90% is just SHOWING UP. Just put on your workout clothes…GET TO THE GYM (or park or garage or wherever you do your workouts). Just START. Chances are that once you actually get going, it won’t be too bad. There ARE times when it is okay to rest. When you’re too sore, haven’t slept enough, need to relax…..but we all know the difference. Sometimes, you just have to push yourself.

Thanks for sticking around with my less than stellar blogging schedule this week! I promise things will go back to normal and you can read my rambling on a more regular basis. 😀

Questions for today:

1. Do you travel often?

2. Do you work out when you travel?
