Saturday overviewwww and my surprise

Hola!! I don’t have too much time, but let’s back up.

Yesterday, I ended up crashing at my sister’s place on Friday night because I was so tired and didn’t want to drive home, so I left at around 6:15am.(I’m an early bird lol) I went to the grocery store and then ate breakfast. I was bored and decided to go to the little gym in my apartment complex to do some cardio. I ended up running 4.5 miles and doing a little bit of abs. Afterwards I decided that I really wanted to go do something(the surpriseeeeee!!!!! JJ) so I did that and then headed over to the rock climbing gym with my friends Jorge and Rick. If you have never done that before, it is SO much fun and an AMAZING workout. I used to go all the time, but you need a partner and I always seem to find people that go a few times and then bail out. Rick and Jorge both bought month memberships with me so hopefully we will be going a lot!! After that, I went to my best friend’s aunt’s 50th birthday party. I have grown up with this family and I am pretty sure I am closer to her aunts and uncles than I am my own haha. It was good to see everyone. I finished off the night with a barbecue and some Texas Hose Em(Beer pong where if you lose, you get sprayed down with a hose. Yes it is a very hick-ish game haha but we are all nerds like that. No worries I made my partner drink all my beer for me haha ) at a friends house. I only stayed until about midnight and then headed homeeee. And now for the surprise……….

I pierced my nose!!!! Sorry its not that exciting lol but it was for me! And i apologize for the lame pic but i was driving haha. I look angry and focused hahaha.

Anyways…today looks like i am going to go visit my mom and then hopefully some volleyball this afternoon!!! Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Dreyers mini mint chocolate chip ice cream

So like I said last week(or maybe I just thought it) I am going to try to incorporate a few mini-treats on 1 or 2 days of the week…whether i am craving them or not…to prevent just going NUTS on one day of the week.

Last night i was totally satisfied with my 1700 calories for the day, but i also knew that was a low number and that if i wanted to have a treat…this should be the day. So i decided to get a mini Dreyers ice cream that I had seen at the grocery store…..

Check these babies out.

Although now i am confused because on the container it said it was 180 calories and on the website it says 210..hmmm…either way…

Perfect amount of ice cream…no temptation to have more(because all you get is your little serving size) and it tastes delish.

All in all..i am very happy with the product and look forward to many more treat nights. I think this will be much better for me than just going nuts on a saturday or sunday and eating 5 bowls of cereal and 3 bowls of ice cream. ya know?!

Anyways…i ate my ice cream and chatted it up at my madre’s house. Then i headed over to my sister/sister’s boyfriends condo and we watched Yes Man. I was so tired by the time it was over that i decided to just crash on their guestroom bed. Woke up bright and early this morning, made a trip to the grocery store….and I have a surprise for you alll……………

BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT 🙂 Because it hasn’t happened yet..but it will happen today…and I will let my pictures later tell the story. 🙂

Friday Overview

Ahh its been a long day. GREAT workout this morning. Good day at work. Good cleaning job. I cleaned my bedroom and kitchen. Still need to do the kitchen floor and my bathroom.

My roommate is leaving tomorrow for two weeks and then is moving out for the summer. It will be lonely but also nice. She will be back in August.

Tired right now and deciding if I want to go out or stay in. it is a long weekend so I might keep it lazy tonight and go out tomorrow night. My neck also started hurting again randomly today and I am wondering if a) I hurt it worse than I though or b) its because of this RAINY few days we have had. Hmmmm.

Fridayy!!

Hello bloggies!!! SO glad its Friday! (even though I have been at the lake the past two days, so I really can’t complain haha) But the weather was rainy and cloudy and windy yesterday, so we were only there for a few hours. Still a good time though!

This morning all I have left to do is biceps for the week, and I’ll top that off with an hour of cardio. I’ll have you know I only did 30 min. of cardio both yesterday and Wednesday!! So I am trying to cut back a bit. Yesterday I was coming in low oncalories again so I basically just stuffed myself up(with all clean foods) to get in extra calories. I know my body needed it I was very light headed during my workout yesterday and most of the day, I know how my body is and it needed some FUEL.

I will post later on, but for now, here was yesterday’s recap…I was WAY low on veggies and way high on fruit…so I’ll have to make some adjustments today!

Im back!!

Sorry for that little spurt of MIAness. I have been busy and internet-less.

To finish up Tuesday:

I went to my training session with Dae, and I worked out with another fellow first-time competitioner(she is also in the posing group with me). We did shoulders and Dae totally kicked our butts. We went REALLY heavy and did drop sets and it was just AWESOME!! Loved it for sure. After speaking with my trainer and Lisa(the other girl I was working out with who is also a trainer) both of them said that a) I am not eating enough right now and b) I gotta ease up on the cardio! I eat 2000-2200 calories on most days which I thought was plenty, but apparently with all of the working out im doing, Dae suggested like 2800 calories per day!!!!! I don’t know if I can get up that high, but I will try to eat more. As for the cardio, I am going to try to ease up a little bit and do 30-45 min. per day instead of the full hour. He just wants to make sure that I can build as much muscle as possible for these last few months. Tuesday ended with 1979 calories…kinda low but oh well.

 

Wednesday:

I got up and went to the gym. I did triceps on my own and then legs with Dae. He totally kicked my ass once again. This man is a god that is all I have to say. I have never known someone with so much knowledge about muscles and muscle growth….and everything in general I guess haha. I then did 30 minutes of intervals on the elliptical. Then, although it was cloudy and kind of rainy, I headed off to the lake!!! No wakeboarding for me….1) because it was windy and 2) I wanted more than 1 entire day without neck injuries!!! I just relaxed at the camp site(a few of the guys camped there the night before) and then we went out on the boat in the late afternoon and hung out and some people wakeboarded but mostly we just chilled out. The weather was nice since it was drizzly and cloudy. We are heading back up there today too! Here is yesterday’s overview…WAYY too low on calories, but it is hard when im out at the lake all day.

Ahhh so last night was awesome!! There were eight of us and everyone was really nice. We weighed in, took measurements, and took before photos. Then we talked about the show and what division everyone is doing. The show that we are all going to do is Fitness America August 22nd. This is only one month after the NPC show that i was originally planning on doing, so I think I will make the switch. It will be awesome to work on posing with these girls. Tiffani and Elana(the leaders) have so much experience with figure and fitness competitions so it is really cool to hear what they have to say!! I will be competing in the bikini and fitness model division. At this point, I just don’t have enough muscle packed on to do figure and would probably just not do well at all. That is fine with me, because I have my whole life ahead of me. I also ordered my shoes last night!!

 
 

Now here is where you all come in!!! For the fitness model division, I have to pick a theme! One of the girls is doing “kickboxer” so I can’t do a boxer 🙁 but I need some ideas on what I should do!!! It should be something athletic that I can put a cute skimpy outfit together with. (It’s kind of like a slutty halloween costume haha) So if you guys could help me out with some ideas i woudl REALLY appreciate it!!!

 

Anyways I was supposed to train with Dae this morning because he wasn’t able to yesterday, but he couldn’t do it this morning, so I am going back at 11:15 to train with him. I still boxed and did my cardio though, so that is out of the way!! Boxing was so much fun today! I was hitting HARD and I lovedddddddd it. Boxing is so addicting its like a drug! Shoulders is on the strength bill for today! Woo!!

Monday Overview

So I am about to leave for my first meet-up with the group I will be competing with. We are going to get all suited up, take pictures, take measurements, and then Tiffani is going to tell us what division she thinks we should compete in. My guess is that I will be doing bikini and not figure. We will see! I am excited. I think that the competition that the rest of the girls are doing is August 22nd, so I may switch and do that one since it is only 1 month after the one I originally planned on doing. It is Fitness America pageant, so from what I hear the figure division Is less muscular than NPC. I will have to see what she says.

 

I am excited and nervous because I don’t know what the rest of the girls look like!!(There are 6 or 7 of us total I think) I am hoping that I won’t be toooo intimidated by all of the beautiful bodies surrounding me and that hopefully I can “hang” I am feeling semi-lean today, but who knows how I will look against the other girls. It almost feels like im competing tonight hahaha.

Great day

Today was a good day. I woke up early and hiked camelback again. Afterwards I raced home, put on my rollerblades(I know im such a nerd haha) and headed down to the field. Today was our softball championships. Last year we won the championship, but unfortunately this year we took 2nd place. It was HOT out there by the second game. It was 10:30 am and already about 95 degrees. By the time we finished, I still had to rollerblade home….it was about 100 degrees by then. The “breeze” I was getting as I rollerbladed was HOT air. Not enjoyable, but I trekked on ha. I had to jump in the shower and clean up really quick before my dad picked me up to go to lunch with my sister, brother and our cousin that we have not seen in YEARS. We used to hang out with her when we were younger but lost touch. We went to True Food Kitchen, which is an all organic healthy restaurant developed by Fox Restaurant Concepts. The whole menu is pre-approved by Dr. Andrew Weil. It was really good. I was actually able to eat at a restaurant!! Haha. I ordered the Tuna Sashimi Salad which came with avocado, edamame, sesame seeds, grape tomatoes and cucumbers. I ordered it without dressing and without edamame. It was good, but very light and didn’t keep me full for long. We walked around the Biltmore for a little bit afterwards and then headed home. I have just been hanging out at home since then. I was supposed to go to a graduation party tonight, but I am just not up for it. It has been a longggg day and I just want to relax on the couch!

 

OH! Before I forget! I tried my raw oats this morning(soaked overnight) They were good. It tasted like my normal oatmeal, but really cold haha. I am going to have it again tomorrow as well. All my veggies were raw today as well. I am not willing to give up my egg whites, though and I bought some turkey breasts tonight that I plan on cooking up tomorrow. I need my protein and I don’t feel the need to cut out egg whites and chicken/turkey.
